Northern California Business” every year this century. She also
serves on the board of San Francisco’s Homeless Prenatal
Program. “After a period when investment return expectations
were unrealistically optimistic, some institutional investors are
now seeking more core-like real estate returns, including steady
cash flow along with a strong market,” she says. “They are now less
interested in large investment funds and instead seek experienced operating partners who don’t have legacy issues.”

Olhasso, a 20-year industry veteran, oversees
200 employees throughout four county
departments: Redevelopment, Workforce
Development, Housing and Community
Development and Economic Development. As
director of Economic Development for the City of
Ontario this past year, she worked with city leaders to generate
roughly 4,000 new jobs and $135 million in total wages. Olhasso
also helped Ontario officials design and adopt the Ontario Plan
to assist forward-thinking and globally minded companies. As for
professional accomplishments, she was nominated to the board
of directors at CoreNet for her role as president of the association’s Southern California chapter. She is also communications
chair for NAIOP Inland Empire and a board member of the
Association of Commercial Real Estate. Going forward, Olhasso
believes there will be a greater focus on women in leadership and
strategic roles.
