HFF The firm has tapped Patrick Sullivan as a managing director to formally launch the industrial investment sales/capital markets platform in its Chicago ffice. He comes to HFF from Converse Capital LLC, a firm he created in 2006 to provide marketing and isposition services to owners of commer- cial real estate. Ryan West has joined HFF as a manag- ing director in its Houston office to focus on retail investment sales transactions throughout the southwestern US. He joins the firm from CBRE, where he was a first vice president in the private client group since 2007 and a top 10 producer. Sullivan

Meredith LaPier has joined CB Richard Ellis’ Washington, DC office as executive vice president in the Washington-Baltimore region. Previously, LaPier served national REIT Carr America for 14 years.

Indraneel Karlekar has joined Cole Real Clarion Real Estate, where he was also a member of the investment team and head of the asset allocation committee.

In Warsaw, Colliers International has appointed Sean Dowsey as director of real estate management services. He will lead the company’s activities in Central and Eastern Europe including Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia.

CUSHMAN & WAKEFIELD

Steven Weilbach has come aboard at Cushman & Wakefield as senior managing director of capital markets and US multi-family practice leader. The 20-year veteran

will be based in San Francisco.

In Dallas, Cindy Burger has taken on the role of director and city leader of the Dallas-Fort Worth Investor Services team for Cushman &

Wakefield of Texas Inc. In her new position, the 22-year industry veteran will focus on business development while overseeing property management and other aspects of the firm’s corporate occupier & investor services.

Gary Saykaly is the latest talent to board the C&W train, joining the firm’s Southeast Capital Markets Group in Atlanta as a senior director. He comes to C&W from BridgePointe Advisors, where he was a managing director.

Currently developing the once-stalled 600 Brickell in Miami, the Foram Group has created a new business division—and appointed a new president. Tracy Story will lead management and leasing for the new business unit. Story will oversee all assets in Foram’s multiple real estate portfolios across four states, including leasing of 600 Brickell at Brickell World Plaza. She comes to Foram from CB Richard Ellis.

Eileen Marrinan has joined the San Francisco headquarters of Grosvenor Americas as director of research. She will help develop the firm’s policies and strategies by studying and reporting on the US and Canadian economies and property markets.

GRUBB & ELLIS Grubb & Ellis Co. has hired Adam J. Simon as vice president, Private Capital Markets. He joins the Chicago Multi Housing team.

Tod Lickerman has been named chief executive officer of the firm’s Americas Corporate Solutions business. Lickerman, formerly head of the Commercial Solutions group, is based in Chicago. He previously helped

grow other businesses within JLL. Lickerman replaces Charlotte, NC-based Stuart Hicks, who assumes a new role as president, strategic clients, with a focus on integrating client solutions.

The firm has named Tony Solomon regional manager of its West Los Angeles office. John Kerin, president and CEO, says that Solomon has expanded the company’s national market-making capabilities to clients throughout Southern California as sales manager and, as regional manager, will continue to grow the West L.A. office.

Karin Kraai has joined Newmark Knight Frank’s property management and landlord advisory division as a senior managing director. An experienced landlord representative, Kraai will lead the strategic growth of the office agency practice in Chicago.

PRICEWATERHOUSECOOPERS The latest addition to Pricewater-houseCoopers’ real estate business advisory services practice is Paul Williams. As managing director working within the financial instruments, structured products and real estate group, he will help to build the real estate capital markets practice. He will be based in New York City before relocating to Boston later this year.

UGL SERVICES

Robert Shibuya has been appointed group president of UGL Services in Los Angeles. This is a newly created position in which he will be responsible for UGL Services globally, including facilities management, maintenance, transaction advisory and portfolio/consulting services to corporate, education, retail, government and public institutions.
