Part of a two-person legal team at Thompson National Properties, Christopher Lal has handled approximately $1 billion in commercial real estate transactions and $500 million in real estate mortgage financing during his career. At TNP, he has launched nine private fund offerings, completed a secured credit facility for up to $150 million and been instrumental in the REIT’s $1-billion common stock offering. Despite heavy responsibilities that require the juggling of multiple tasks, Lal is known for taking the time to mentor employees and those interested in a career in real estate.

Specializing in tenant representation and agency leasing, Brant Landry has negotiated more than 280 industrial and office leases, sales or purchase agreements. Highlights include completing about 500,000 square feet worth of transactions for Cobalt Capital Partners and 175,000-square-foot and 78,000-square-foot leases for Celerity Inc. in Dallas and Austin, TX, respectively. Expanding his reach beyond the Dallas/ Fort Worth area, he has assisted global real estate deals as well. Away from the real estate world, Landry founded the Elizabeth Toon Charities for which he has, in just three years, raised over $1 million for charities benefiting children. His industry awards are numerous, including the Transwestern President’s Award & Champion’s Club in 2010.

MICHAEL LARSEN, 32

Michael Larsen has risen quickly through the ranks at Centerline Capital Group. He is involved in all aspects of Centerline’s cash management and treasury operations, as well as the budgeting, forecasting and management-reporting functions at the firm. He also leads the corporate finance team responsible for managing corporate capital needs and new business development. Larsen has underwritten $800 million of equity and debt investments across 80 multifamily properties over a three-year period. After moving into the capital markets arena, he also managed the company’s tax-exempt securitization portfolio, executing over $1.8 billion of programs.
