to Watch in 2012 10
For the final installment of our 10 to Know series this year, REAL ESTATE
FORUM has picked 10 companies across the investment, capital markets
and development fields that we think will be heard from frequently over
the next 12 months. By “companies to watch,” we’re not referring to up-and-coming firms that have just appeared on the industry’s radar screens
(the newest of the 10 profiled here, Chatham Lodging Trust, had its initial
public offering nearly two years ago—and that was backed by industry
veteran Jeffrey Fisher).
Instead, we’re looking at organizations that built up a head of steam during 2011 and are likely not only to maintain momentum in the coming year
but increase it as well. Some are simply on a roll, while others have recently
kicked off new initiatives that will unfold throughout 2012 and beyond.
However, we think that all of them will merit your attention next year.
