JONATHAN TISCH
Among his many endeavors, Tisch, co-chairman of the board and a member
of the office of the president of Loews
Corp. is also co-owner of the New York
Giants. He is chairman of Loews
Corp.’s subsidiary, Loews Hotels &
Resorts, and is a co-founder of media
investment firm Walnut Media LLC of
New York City. As CEO of Loews Hotels
from 1989 to 2011, he led the company’s expansion as a leading luxury hotel brand. Among his
numerous accomplishments, he founded and served as chairman
of the Travel Business Roundtable until 2008 and now serves as
chairman emeritus of its successor organization, the United
States Travel Association.
BRUCE WHITE
The chairman and chief executive officer of White Lodging
Services Corp. of Merrillville, IN founded the company in 1985
when he opened the firm’s first hotel. Since then, the firm’s
managed portfolio has grown to 160 mid- to large-scale hotels
located in 20 states. In 2006, White was the catalyst on a
$1.7-billion hotel portfolio sale to RLJ Development, enabling
him and the White Lodging ownership partners to monetize
their value in 99 hotel properties. This milestone transaction
included long-term management contracts to ensure the stability of the organization and create a platform for dynamic
growth.
C. KEMMONS “KEM” WILSON JR.
As a young boy in 1951, Wilson saw his family’s fortunes change
forever when on a trip from Memphis to Washington, his
father Kemmons Wilson (1913-2003), disappointed with the
quality of motels on the trip, got the inspiration that led to the
formation of the Holiday Inn chain. Last year the Wilson family celebrated the 60th anniversary of the opening of the first
Holiday Inn in Memphis. “Kem” Wilson Jr. now serves as principal and executive vice president of Kemmons Wilson Cos.
and president and chairman of Wilson Hotel Management
Co., both based in Memphis. He is responsible for long-range
strategic planning, overall operations, business management
and continuous evaluation of the hotel group’s operations.
LEN WOLMAN
Wolman has more than 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry and currently serves as chairman and CEO of
Waterford Group LLC, a group of companies and partnerships
specializing in the development, ownership and management
of hotel, venue and gaming projects. Under his leadership, the
Waterford Group has been involved in developing and operating projects totaling more than $3 billion. In its history, the
company has owned or managed more than 60 properties
nationwide. The firm’s hotel division is a third-party operator
of full service and select service hotels and convention centers
across the United States representing Marriott, Hilton,
Starwood, Choice and IHG. ◆
