ANDY POLLIN, 40
President
Pollin Group LLC
In order to take advantage of the downturn
in the real estate market five years ago, Andy
Pollin formed his own firm to raise discre-
tionary capital and invest in distressed and
other opportunistic real estate. Since its
inception, the Pollin Group has completed
more than 20 transactions with assets in 23 states and is cur-
rently investing through its second fund. Pollin directs a team
of dedicated real estate professionals that encompass acquisi-
tions, dispositions, investor relations, asset management, loan
originations and recruiting. He says his company has become
successful thanks to “core values of integrity, hard work, fair-
ness and strong relationships.” Pollin is a member of the
Commercial Real Estate Committee of the Policy Advisory
Board at the University of San Diego’s Burnham-Moores
Center for Real Estate and a mentor for Master of Science in
Real Estate candidates at USD.
KELLY REENDERS, 36
Economic Development Agency Administrator
County of San Bernardino
As the administrator spearheading eco-
nomic development for the largest county
in the nation, Kelly Reenders oversees three
departments: workforce development, com-
munity development
and economic develop-
ment. In 2014, she will take on the role of
chair of the SoCal board for CoreNet
Global. Reenders says she sees the move by
manufacturers to bring operations back to
the US from overseas as critically important
for the region. She places strong emphasis
on public-private efforts to train the area’s
900,000-member workforce for science,
technology, engineering and other math-
related careers, including healthcare,
transportation and logistics, aviation and
skilled manufacturing. According to
Reenders, advanced manufacturing is a
critical industry of opportunity in the
region because of its large workforce and
training programs that support business.

Managing Director
Charles Dunn Co.
An East Coast transplant
now operating in Los
Angeles, Blake Rogers

the business and six
months in his current
position. Focusing on leasing and investment of multifamily land in the Western
market, he specializes in the valuation and
sale of multifamily properties and land for
development within Greater Los Angeles
and Orange County. He also has proven

disposition of non-performing debt instruments secured by real estate. Successfully
closing transactions aggregating more than
1,500 units and representing in excess of
$185 million in multifamily properties and
