Around the end of last year, Trevor Koskovich, president of the investment sales group at NorthMarq, had two conflicting commitments.
One was an out-of-town corporate meeting; the other
was the imminent birth of his second child. Koskovich
was able to make both events with ease because when
the company’s top executives realized the conflict,
they opted to fly from NorthMarq’s Minneapolis headquarters to Phoenix, where Koskovich is located.
This is a telling, but not uncommon, anecdote
about the commercial real estate debt and equity provider renowned for its strong corporate culture and
care for its employees. This incident also highlights
the importance of the company’s recent initiative to
push into the investment sales space.
Koskovich was the head of a nine-person multifamily investment sales team that joined NorthMarq from
Colliers in April 2018. In addition to establishing the
