Matthews REIS helped to revolutionize the industry several years ago when it was the first to develop the proprietary Click-to-Sell™ technology. And, strong believers in the success of specialization, the company recruited
expert marketers in their prospective fields to lead the company in the art of marketing.
Considering the El Segundo, CA-based firm is only three years old, the accomplishments Matthews has made
are monumental. Since the end of its first year, headcount has increased by more than 500%. In 2017 alone,
Matthews agents had closed almost $2 billion in transactions and its annual revenue increased by more than
6,015% from its first year in business. The company has grown to be a full-service platform and a leader in shopping center, multifamily, single tenant net lease, property management, portfolio disposition and 1031 Exchange
transactions. And this is just the beginning. Future office expansions are in the forecast, and the company is looking forward to rolling out additional services, technologies and platforms.
The professionals who run the firm’s various divisions are as well known in the industry as their company
founder. Executive vice president El Warner is national director of shopping centers, based in the Orange County,
CA market. Wearing several hats within the company, the 13-year industry bet increased the division’s revenue by
more than 150% from 2016. In 2017, Warner earned Matthews’ Circle of Excellence award, an award given only
to the top agents. During the year, he closed more than $283 million in sales, totaling in excess of four million
square feet. Out of those transactions, Warner won Matthews’ largest transaction of the year award as well.
Meanwhile, Chad Kurz serves as national director of the single tenant net lease division. The Dallas-based SVP
has increased the size of the single tenant net lease team by upwards of 45% during the last year. In terms of revenue, he brought the team up by an average of 135% across verticals. Kurz has been involved in more transactions
than any other agent in the firm and has set multiple cap rate records across the country. Kurz received the
Matthews Circle of Excellence award in both 2016 and 2017.
Also on the STNL side as a senior director, Gary Chou, a first vice president, also oversees the Restaurant
Practice Group. Before stepping into the commercial real estate industry, Chou was earning his doctorate in dental surgery at UCLA. As one of the firm’s first hires, he has not only risen to be Matthews’ top-producing agent in
2016 and 2017. In addition, Chou closed $132 million in 2017 alone, was awarded the 2017 top producer award

Since launching NNLG and IPG in 2016, the investment sales
brokerage has grown from two individuals to more than 50 investment sales brokers and staff located throughout the country with

The recipient of numerous industry awards, Mousavi has in his
career been involved in more than $2.5 billion in transactions,
more than 200 of which closed in the past 18 months in over 30
states. Of Luther’s many accomplishments are 100 retail sales in
more than 30 states. He also launched a new debt and equity
platform inside of the NNLG called the Capital Advisory Group.
