WELCOME TO OUR NOVEMBER/DECEMBER
issue. It is a noteworthy one for us, not only
because it is the last magazine of the year, but
also because we cover not one, not two, but three
categories of influencers within its pages. They
are CRE marketing, senior housing and healthcare
influencers.
You may have noticed our growing focus on
We like to think these lists are special to the industry. They are not mere collections of companies with the biggest sales or largest portfolios, or compilations
of individuals with the highest commissions for the year; in fact, our influencer
series do not focus on those types of metrics at all. Rather, we look at applicants
that have offered something unique or new to the industry, such as through their
growth or acquisition strategies or some other type of innovation.
Why influencers at all? That is simple: because even though commercial real
estate is all about physical buildings and the trends that govern their supply and
demand, it also is very much a relationship-oriented space. Who you know, who
you’ve heard about and who you would like to know is the name of the game.
Our overarching goal, in fact, is to have our influencers fall into one or more of
those categories.
This being the November/December issue, we have also taken a look at the
trends that we expect to emerge, or further unfold, next year. We examine a wide
range of happenings, from the changing nature of office demand to investors’
more realistic view of Opportunity Zone investments.
Besides our influencers, our focus for the issue is healthcare. Be sure to read
