This month’s Building Balance page features special
coverage of our recent Women of Influence event. The
regularly scheduled column will resume next month.
In connection with its 70th anniversary and
its longstanding commitment to diversity and
honoring the successes of women in commercial real estate, Real Estate Forum recognized the 2016 Women of Influence honorees, as well as members of the Women of
Influence Hall of Fame, during a special ceremony that concluded this year’s RealShare
New York conference earlier this month.
Capping the ceremony, Gail Ayers, CEO of
CREW Network and president of CREW
Network Foundation, received a Lifetime
Achievement Award from ALM Real Estate
Media Group for her dedication to furthering
the position of women in the industry. Ayers,
a 2008 Women of Influence honoree, will
retire at the end of 2016 after 11 years of service to CREW Network and a total of 25 years
as an organizational leader. She was introduced at this month’s ceremony by Hall of
