Borok leads Amherst Capital’s commer-
cial real estate lending business, serving
as managing director and head of
investment management. Since joining
the firm in 2015, she has overseen the
issuance of $1 billion in loan origina-
tions and has provided 41 loans to fund
projects in 26 cities in the US. She drives activity through her
strong industry relationships with 75% of her loan volume coming
from pre-existing borrowers. Recently, she executed the firm’s first
collateralized loan obligation, a $400 million portfolio of commer-
cial mortgage assets. This was the firm’s entry into the public mar-
ket. In addition to guiding significant activity and growth at
Amherst Capital, Borok is also a committed mentor to young
female professionals entering the industry.
In 18 years at Marcus & Millichap CapitalCorp., Michael Derk has built a reputation as an innovator in the mortgagebanking business by focusing on thedynamics of each deal and the client’sneeds rather than on a specific niche orproduct type. Derk currently serves assenior managing director of capital markets, overseeing capital markets for thecompany’s Orange County office.
