Subramanian represents the best and the
brightest both within Capital One and the
industry. Her role at the bank recently
expanded, from DC-area market manager
to Mid-Atlantic market manager, doubling
the size of the portfolio to $5 billion in
loans throughout the region. In addition to
her year-to-date origination volume of some $500 million,
Subramanian works to increase opportunities for women and
young people in the industry through one-on-one mentorship programs and her membership in trade organizations that support
these initiatives. She advises them that education can give a
broader perspective and to take risks, change jobs to find one that
is enjoyable, meet a number of people and be inquisitive, and don’t
let fear be a factor in taking on an expanded role.
