As executive managing director atMKDA Stamford, Julia Lindh is a recognized leader in the Northeast market. With 40 years of design experience and architecture licenses inthree states—Connecticut, New Yorkand Alabama, Lindh—has an impressive portfolio of projects, includingthe repositioning of buildings like 700and 850 Canal St. for ClearRock and2187 Atlantic St. for Black Diamond.
She oversees every interior and architectural project in heroffice, and manages the day-to-day operations. Lindh is a member of NAIOP, and she is a top fundraiser for the MuscularDystrophy Assoc.

KAVITHA MARUDADUWith 20 years of experience and astandout portfolio, Kavitha Marudadu’swork catches attention. In the last twoyears as associate principal at DMACArchitecture, she has been called on tomanage the design of the575,000-square-foot, $80 millionexpansion of Midtown Athletic Cluband Hotel in Chicago along with six

Andrea Schaub is known for herexceptional work in the hospitalityfield. In her 27-year career, Schaubhas worked on landmark projects inthe Washington D.C. metro, like theMarriott Marquis Washington, D.C.and the dual-branded Courtyard byMarriott and Residence Inn hotelsat Columbia Place. In 2015, shebecame a principal at Cooper Carry,and has played an essential role in
growing the firm’s new business prospects by 35% andrecruitment by 40%. She is also spearheading efforts to createan equitable and inclusive work environment, serving as aprincipal member of the firm’s Equity, Diversity and InclusionCouncil.

In her 30-year career, Anita Summershas worked on more than 500 restaurant design projects. Her noteworthy portfolio includes Rathbun’sand Krog Bar in Atlanta, Legal SeaFoods in Boston and Fearing’s atThe Ritz-Carlton in Dallas. As a principal at The Johnson Studio atCooper Carry, Summers focuses onpre-design, planning and projectmanagement, managing the many
moving parts of a restaurant that others don’t see. In the lastyear alone, she has worked on a half dozen restaurant projects, and she was featured in Architect Magazine. Summers isa member of AIA and a fervent supporter of diversity in thearchitecture field.

In 2012, Kia Weatherspoon startedDetermined By Design to democratize quality design and create anaccessible standard for everyone.Today, the company has become astaple in the Mid-Atlantic region foraffordable and supportive housing,designing more than 2,000 units,managing $1 million in procurementand has supported the developmentof more than 120,000 square feet of
affordable housing and retail in underserved communities.Today, Weatherspoon is currently managing more than 20 projects through the firm and is providing Design Equity trainingto teach other companies how to create equitable design practices. Weatherspoon is a U.S. Air Force Veteran and an activemember of ASID.
