In Loryn Arkow’s two-decade career,she has worked on some of the mosthigh-profile deals in the Los Angelesmarket. These deals include the $525million sale of La Jolla Commons andthe iconic sale of CBS Television City toHackman Capital Partners. Her clientsinclude TruAmerica Multifamily, ClearCapital, JPMorgan and CBS. A partnerat Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP,Arkow has recently focused on expanding her Asia inbound work, particularly in Korea, advising clientslike Hana Alternative Asset Management Co., Samsung SRA andKTB Asset Management Co. Arkow also co-chairs the Women’sAffinity Group of Stroock’s Los Angeles office.
JENNIFER BOJORQUEZ
As a multifamily housing, finance andrestructuring partner at TroutmanSanders, Jennifer Bojorquez specializes in Fannie Mae and Freddie Macmultifamily loan origination and servicing, and she works with clients ontroubled loan transactions. In the lasttwo years, Bojorquez has counseledclients—including Capital One,Berkadia Commercial Mortgage, WellsFargo and JPMorgan Chase—in loantransactions totaling more than $2.5 billion. Her achievementshave earned a number of accolades, including the Most ValuableService Partner SPIRE award from CREW-OC and a nod fromCapital One as their go-to attorney for their Newport BeachAgency Finance team.
AMY CARBINS
Amy Carbins is a partner and the co-head of DLA Piper’s real estate practice in its Washington DC office. Inaddition to advising clients on structuring, negotiating and executing complex transactions, Carbins also leads ateam of 200 attorneys. In the last year,she represented TFCO in the acquisition of approximately 800 real estateassets from the Sears bankruptcyestate; represented Stack Infrastructurein its securitization, which included an $850 million issuance ofasset-backed secured notes; and represented Transform Holdcoin the sale of its subsidy Innovel Solutions for $1 billion. Betweendeals, Carbins also spearheaded a diversity and inclusion trainingprogram at the firm.
CHRIS C. CHEN
As managing director and associate general counsel at Prologis,
Chris C. Chen oversees the firm’s real estate transactional and
litigation practice and oversees its environmental services group.
This involves managing a 19-person team spread across the globe
as well as approving companywide
capital deployment for new develop-
ment projects, asset purchases and
sales in Asia. In 2019, she completed
the $4 billion acquisition of Industrial
Property Trust; worked on the launch
of the $1.7 billion open-ended
Prologis China Core Logistics Fund;
and worked with the firm’s capital
deployment team on $2.9 billion of
new developments.
MEG GEORGE
Meg George has rapidly risen to suc-
cess. She is the youngest women
named managing partner at Akerman
and the youngest person to be
appointed to the firm’s board of direc-
tors and executive committee, all
while maintaining her thriving land
use practice. Her work includes repre-
senting Riverside Investment and
Development in a $1 billion redevel-
opment of
Chicago’s Union Station, and repre-
senting Fulton Street Cos. and
Huizenga Capital Management in the
acquisition and development of a flag-
ship office and retail complex in the
Chicago’s Fulton Market corridor. George
is also LEED accredited and dedicated to building green com-
munities, launching Chicago’s first Sustainability Task Force.
ELLEN M. GOODWIN
As an advisor to banks, funds and insurance companies Ellen M. Goodwin hasoverseen several multi-billion dollartransactions over the course of her30-year career. She is currently a partnerin the New York office of Alston & Bird’sreal estate finance and investment groupand the former co-chair of the group.This year, she has served as lender counsel for the $1.2 billion financing of 5Times Square, and she representedWells Fargo Bank in the origination of a $414 million mortgage for a130-property portfolio. She is an activeparticipant in community organizations,including Street Law and InterfaithNutrition Network.
