STEVEN M. KARBANK
Since joining Kansas City, MO-based
Karbank Cos. in 1979, Steven
Karbank has been active in all areas
of its operations, including development, brokerage and property management. He is currently chairman of
the company. During his career, he
has planned and developed more
than 35 buildings totaling 3. 5 million
square feet of distribution, office, and
research and development space in
the Kansas City area and around the US. Karbank has completed
numerous build-to-suit projects for companies such as General
Electric, Farmers Group, Lifetouch Publishing, Sokkia and Cross
Tire. Karbank has negotiated transactions with numerous companies, including AIG, Commerce Bank, Grundfos Pumps, Andre’s
Confiserie and Sokkia. He’s active in a number of philanthropic,
civic and other boards and organizations.
E. STANLEY KROENKE
Stan Kroenke founded St. Louis-based THF Realty with Michael
Staenberg in 1991. As chairman and owner, he has guided the company to become a leading development firm with a portfolio of
retail, office and industrial projects nationwide. Kroenke’s endeavors reach far beyond THF Realty. His real estate interests also
include sports stadiums, ranches, vineyards and warehouse/storage
facilities throughout North America. He was instrumental in bringing the NFL Rams to St. Louis in 1994-95. As the Rams’ co-owner,
Kroenke works with the St. Louis Rams Foundation to better the St.
Louis community. His love of sports has energized other communities, including Denver, where he is owner of the Colorado Avalanche
NHL team and the NBA’s Denver Nuggets. Kroenke’s current and
former board and trustee memberships include Wal-Mart Stores
Inc., Central Bancompany and Boone County National Bank. He’s
also a member of St. Louis’ Civic Progress.
DAVID J. LARUE
David LaRue is president and CEO of
Cleveland-based Forest City
Enterprises Inc. and serves on its
board of directors. He most recently
served as EVP and COO, with company-wide responsibility for all real
estate operations and fostering strategic growth initiatives. LaRue joined
Forest City in 1986 as a financial analyst and worked his way up through a
series of positions of increasing
responsibility in the company’s commercial group. Those included financial manager of the Tower
City Center mixed-use property in Cleveland, vice president and
later executive vice president of real estate operations, and president and COO of the commercial group. Prior to joining Forest
City, he was an internal auditor and financial analyst with he
Sherwin-Williams Co. LaRue is the 2013-14 chairman of ICSC
and is on NAREIT’s 2013 board of governors.
ROBERT L. LAUTH, JR.
Bob Lauth is chairman, CEO and principal of Lauth Property Group
LLC (formerly Lauth Group Inc.), based in Indianapolis. He concentrates primarily on the company’s long-term strategies and client
relations. Prior to forming the company, he spent 10 years with an
Indianapolis-based, full-service real
estate company where he served as an
EVP. During his career, Lauth has
been involved in virtually every area of
commercial real estate, including brokerage, property management, construction, development and mortgage
banking. He serves as a director of
Indy Partnership Inc., St. Vincent
Hospital and the Indiana State
Chamber of Commerce and Greater
Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce.
TIM MURNANE
As president and CEO of Minnetonka,
MN-based Opus Holding LLC, Tim
Murnane oversees all operations of the
operating companies, collectively
known as the Opus Group. These companies are Opus Development LLC,
Opus Design Build LLC and Opus AE
Group LLC. Murnane, who joined
Opus in 1984, is a 33-year veteran of the
commercial real estate industry and has
developed more than 10 million square
feet of office, industrial and retail properties. He has led the company to a successful resurgence with more than $1 billion in signed
contracts. Murnane serves as an advisory board member for the
University of St. Thomas Real Estate Program and the Urban Land
Institute. He is also a board member for the Minneapolis Downtown
Council and Minnesota Business Partnership.
MICHAEL C. PHILLIPS
Michael Phillips is founder and co-chairman of Cincinnati-based Phillips Edison-ARC, a public, non-traded REIT that
invests in retail real estate properties. Its
primary focus is on necessity-anchored
neighborhood and community shopping
centers. Phillips has served as a principal
of the company since 1991. Prior to forming Phillips Edison, Phillips worked for
Biggs Hypershoppes Inc. as a vice president, for May Centers as senior development director, and for the
Taubman Co. as a leasing agent and later as development director.
RONALD A. PIZZUTI
Ron Pizzuti founded Columbus-based
Pizzuti Cos. in 1976. As chairman and
CEO, he oversees all aspects of its operations in Columbus, Chicago and
Orlando. He believes assembling the
right team has been the key to every
project’s success, from new development to the renovation, leasing and
management of existing properties.
Under Pizzuti’s leadership, Pizzuti
Solutions LLC was launched in 2005.
The company specializes in public-private partnerships and provides
economic development, planning, feasibility and owner’s representative services to public agencies, municipalities, counties and sports
franchises. Pizzuti is a past chairman of the Ohio Cultural Facilities
Commission and a current trustee of the Wexner Center Foundation.
