ORA H. REYNOLDS
Ora Reynolds, president of
Kansas City, MO-based Hunt
Midwest Real Estate Development
Inc., leads the company’s industrial, commercial and residential
divisions. Company assets include
SubTropolis, a 1,150-acre underground business complex; the
1,000-acre Hunt Midwest Business
Center; and 12 residential communities with 6,000 plotted lots.
Reynolds is also focused on strategic planning and expansion. She
joined Hunt Midwest in 1991 as
manager of new business development. Her efforts led to Hunt
Midwest’s expansion into residential development. She became
manager of residential development and was promoted to director, general manager and then VP and general manager of residential development. In 2007, she was promoted to VP for the
overall real estate company and was named president in 2010.
Prior to joining Hunt Midwest, Reynolds was in the corporate-banking industry. She sits on several boards, including the
Economic Development Corp. of Kansas City.
ANTHONY F.
SANSONE, SR.
Anthony Sansone, Sr. founded
Sansone Group in 1957 and serves
as principal, chairman of the board
and CEO. He is joined by four of his
sons—James, Timothy, Douglas and
Nicholas—as principals. All five
work out of the St. Louis headquarters and are involved in the firm’s
daily activities. Sansone Group,
which started with two employees,
has grown to 160 full-time employees, seven offices in four states and
properties in 14 states throughout the Midwest, Texas and Florida.
Under Sansone’s leadership, the company has developed seven
million square feet of retail, office and industrial buildings and
1,000 residential units. In all, Sansone has developed 32 shopping
centers and 16 freestanding Walgreens stores, and has a portfolio
in excess of 22 million square feet of operating property valued at
$2.5 billion. Sansone is well-known in the business community for
his devotion to civic and charitable causes.
MARK J. SCHNUCK
After serving in a variety of positions at St. Louis-based Schnuck
Markets Inc., Mark Schnuck became senior real estate officer in
1989. In 1993, he was named president and CEO of the newly
formed real estate company, DESCO Group, and quickly succeeded
in taking a corporate real estate department and turning it into a
successful, full-service development firm. The DESCO Group continues managing, leasing and developing the Schnuck Markets
portfolio, but has expanded into other areas of real estate and development, including non-grocery anchored centers. It has developed
centers in Arizona, Missouri, Michigan, Florida and Illinois. Schnuck
later formed sister company NAI DESCO where he leads a team of
experienced commercial/industrial brokers serving Missouri and
Illinois. In 2001, he launched DESCO Southwest in Tucson, which
has undertaken several major development projects.
TED M. SELDIN
As chairman of Omaha-based Seldin
Co., Ted Seldin remains active in
the firm’s development, PR and
management matters. He became
associated with the Seldin organization in 1957 and has enjoyed a distinguished career with the company,
a leading homebuilder and developer in the Omaha/Council Bluffs
metro area. The Seldin organization has developed affordable
and conventional housing for a wide range of clients, including
more than 3,000 single-family homes and 3,500 apartment
units. He is especially proud of the more than 1,000 affordable
apartment homes for seniors that his company developed and
manages across Iowa and Nebraska. Seldin has been involved in
many civic and housing-related organizations both in Omaha
and nationally. He was inducted into the Greater Omaha
Chamber of Commerce Business Hall of Fame in 2010.
DAVID SIMON
David Simon was named chairman of
the board of directors of Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group in 2007.
He’s been CEO of the REIT since
1995 and was president from 1993 to
1996. He’s served as a director since
1993. Before joining Simon, he was a
VP at Wasserstein Perella & Co. and
an associate at First Boston Corp.
